One of the most powerful compression and archive management tools available, WinRAR can be downloaded through the internet for a small payment. Its developers however provide with a free version which can be tried out for a maximum duration of 40 days.
This tool, along with its compression abilities, can reduce the size of email attachments and even provide data backup. Utilizing various formats, it has the ability to decompress ZIP, RAR and many more files. Maybe not all, but it definitely supports most of the formats such as ACE, GZIP, UUE, LZH, ARJ, CAB, Z, BZIP2, ISO, 7-Zip and TAR. New archives in ZIP and RAR file formats can also be created using WinRAR.
